Three Decades in Central Texas Landscaping

Owner Ben Bretz has owned and operated companies in the lawn and landscape industry since 1993. Over those three decades he has worked with both residential and commercial clients across design, installation, and maintenance, learning what holds up in the Central Texas climate and what truly transforms an outdoor space. That depth of real-world experience is the difference between a yard that looks good for a season and one that thrives for years.

"My goal is simple," Ben says. "I want to bring your outdoor vision to life." Family is at the center of everything Ben does. He and his wife, Dani, have been married for nearly 30 years, and together they have 5 kids and 4 grandchildren. In his spare time, Ben spends as much of it as possible with family, still makes it out to plenty of Cedar Park sporting events, stays highly involved with Cedar Park Young Life, and gets out to golf and hunt when he can.

A Family Business, Built to Last

Outsider Solutions is genuinely a family operation. Ben's son, Josh Bretz, grew up watching his father work in the landscape industry and, after spending the last several years working alongside him, decided to follow in his footsteps and join the business. Josh now runs the company's landscape division and works with the crew in the field every single day.

"I have always been taught that the best way to learn is to do, and I have learned so much working for my dad," Josh says. Outside of work, Josh cheers on his girlfriend at her UMHB soccer games, works on his truck, and serves as a volunteer leader with Cedar Park Young Life. He also loves heading out to the ranch to hunt and fish. When father and son show up to your property, you are getting two generations of accumulated knowledge and a personal stake in the result.

What We Do

We are a full-service design and installation company specializing in renovation and custom landscape work. Our services include:

Landscape design, installation, and renovation. Landscape lighting using commercial-grade fixtures. Hardscapes including stone borders, retaining walls, masonry, and full outdoor kitchens. Grading, sod, plant and tree installation, and irrigation.

Our projects typically range from $5,000 to $100,000, and no job is too big or too small. Please note that we do not offer lawn or sprinkler maintenance, which lets us focus entirely on doing design and installation work at the highest level.
